Taking a walk to view the wonders of the Fall

by Frank Giorno

Walking is beneficial to our physical and mental health. There is no better time to explore nature by heading to your local natural area and taking in the fall colours. Walking around your neighbourhood also can be quite colourful, too.

This October I headed for walks along the Bruce Trail on the Niagara Escarpment in Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. I also took walks in Barrie, Ontario, along Highway 26 and in the Terra Cotta Conservation Area west of Brampton, Ontario.

Some of the best fall colours can be seen just walking around the neighbourhood where you can watch those familiar maples and oaks slow grow redder as the fall progresses.

Here are some of the photos I took from around my neighbourhood in Niagara Falls, Ontario and walks on the nearby Bruce Trail.

Enjoy the photos of fall near my neighbourhood in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
